Parents/guardians can now apply for the 2024-25 school year at Application Link.

Information Requested on Application

• Biographical information of parent/legal guardian and scholar (name, D.O.B., etc.)
• Contact information (address, email, phone number, etc.)

Lottery Process, Rules, and Procedures
Lottery refers to selecting applicant names randomly, and to be included in the lottery drawing, you must submit a complete and accurate application by the deadline (May 8, 2024).

• A lottery will be conducted if the number of applicants exceeds the seats available.
• The lottery, if necessary, will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 5:00 PM (attendance is optional).
• Only one lottery will be conducted for all grades with excess applicants.
• Applicants are assigned numbers on their applications for identification in the lottery.
• Only applications received by March 8, 2024, can participate; others will be placed on the waiting list.
• The lottery process will be open and easily understood by all observers.
  
  

Listing of Enrollment Preferences (in order)

1. Returning VACSE scholars
2. Siblings of currently enrolled VACSE scholars
3. Children of the founding group and Board Members
4. Scholars residing in the Southeast Delco SD
5. Scholars living in school districts other than Southeast Delco SD
   
   

Waiting List Information
VACSE maintains a waiting list for all grades based on the lottery’s outcome, and waiting lists renew after each lottery every year. Applicants must re-apply annually to be assigned a spot on the waiting list (applications do NOT carry over).

When a scholar is selected through the lottery, the parent/guardian will receive an email or notification with specific paperwork requirements by an assigned deadline. If your child is on our waiting list, please be patient, as available spots are determined later in the summer.

All applications received after the initial enrollment period will be accepted on a “first-come, first-served” basis after the waiting list has been exhausted.

Registration Process
All applicants offered a seat must respond within five days and submit the required paperwork within 14 days. VACSE will retract offers if not accepted affirmatively in writing and if paperwork is not completed/submitted within the given timeframe.

Required documentation for registration includes:

• Completed enrollment packet
• Parent I.D.
• Proof of student age
• Two forms of proof of residency
• Most recent immunization, physical, and dental records.
