Reporting at Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence (VACSE)
At VACSE, we believe in transparent and open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress. We provide regular reporting and access to critical information through various channels:

Report Cards and Parent-Teacher Conferences:
We issue report cards each trimester and hold parent-teacher conferences three times a year. In addition to report cards, parents receive a Mid-Quarter Progress Report halfway through the trimester, keeping them informed about their child’s academic performance.

Online Progress Monitoring:
Parents and guardians can check their child’s progress online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Under the “Reports” tab, you can generate various reports to gain insights into your child’s academic journey.

  • Missing Assignments Report: This report lists any missing assignments in the teacher’s grade book, helping you stay updated on your child’s homework.
  • Schedule Report: You can print your child’s class schedule to track their daily activities.
  • Report Card: This report provides the student’s posted course grades, giving you a comprehensive view of their academic achievements.

Internal Diagnostic Results:
We also share internal diagnostic results with parents, derived from assessments such as MAP and aimsWEBplus, and external assessments like the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) tests. These assessments help us measure your child’s academic standing, growth, and proficiency in various subjects.

  • MAP Diagnostic Assessments: Administered three times a year, these assessments measure academic growth in Reading, Math, and Science.
  • PSSA Tests: Given each Spring to students in Grades 3-8, these tests assess your child’s proficiency in state standards. Score reports from both assessments are sent home to students’ families, and our school personnel are available to discuss the reports upon request.

Standardized Test Results:
The ESSA Federal Report, known as The Future Ready PA Index, provides a comprehensive overview of school progress measures related to student success. It includes a range of indicators to accurately report student learning, growth, and readiness in the classroom and beyond. The Future Ready PA Index contains the most recent data available.

Contact Us:

At VACSE, we value the partnership between our school and parents, working together to empower every student to reach their full potential.
