Transportation

By Pennsylvania law, school districts are required to provide transportation to resident students attending a charter school “on such dates and periods that the charter school is in regular session” under the following conditions:

  1. The charter school is located within the school district.
  2. The charter school is ten miles from the nearest public highway beyond the school district boundary.

Therefore, Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence (VACSE) makes transportation arrangements with the school districts of residence for its students. Resident students receive transportation services under the same conditions as public school students along established district bus routes.

VACSE collaborates with the districts to identify appropriate and available transportation options when enrolling students from those areas. We ensure that all parents, including those of special education students, are fully informed of these choices.

It’s important to note that VACSE does not provide transportation for extended day programs, club times, or Saturday Academy.
