Federal Programs
Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence is committed to providing our students with the best educational opportunities. To support our mission, we are applying for various federal grants, including Title I, II, III, and IV funds, to enhance the quality of education we offer. While our exact poverty rate is unknown, we are prepared to implement these programs to benefit our students.
Title I, Part A – Grants to Local Educational Agencies:
Title I, Part A provides financial assistance to schools to improve educational opportunities for educationally deprived children. Our Schoolwide Title I program is designed to help children meet state content and performance standards in reading, English-language arts, and mathematics.
Title II, Part A – Improving Teacher Quality State Grant:
Title II, Part A provides financial assistance to our school to improve our teachers’ skills and the quality of instruction in core academic subjects. It can also be used for class-size reduction programs.
Title III – Language Acquisition State Grant:
Vision Academy Charter School participates in the DCIU’s Title III consortium to obtain Title III funding. This allows us to deliver language instruction and educational programs to students whose primary language is not English. The program is designed to enhance the education of children and youth with limited English proficiency, helping them learn English to meet state academic standards and providing enhanced instructional opportunities for immigrant children and youth.
Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic Enrichment:
This program helps us provide all students with access to a well-rounded education, improve school conditions for student learning, and enhance the use of technology to improve academic achievement and digital literacy.
We are dedicated to utilizing these funds to benefit our students and provide them with the highest quality education possible.
