The Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence Board of Directors plays a vital role in overseeing the school’s operations, ensuring alignment with our mission and vision, and achieving the goals outlined in our charter.
Comprised of members with diverse expertise in education, nonprofits, and business, the Board is deeply committed to academic excellence, equity, and the betterment of our community, particularly within Southeast Delco. Their dedication reflects a shared responsibility to foster success for all students.
We value the engagement and support of parents and community members in enhancing our children’s education. Our board meetings are open to the public, providing opportunities for collaboration and communication with the community.

Meetings will be held in person at 1016 School Street, Sharon Hill, PA 19079, with an option for parents to participate online.

Board of Trustees
Patricia Kumah is a dedicated resident of Southeast Delco and a proud parent of prospective students to Vision Academy Charter School of Excellence. With a solid foundation in finance, Patricia has developed a successful career as an accomplished Accountant and Payroll Coordinator. She earned her MBA in Accounting from Strayer University in Philadelphia, PA. Patricia’s proficiency in accounting and her dedication to her family’s educational pursuits showcase her commitment to both professional success and active participation in her community. Her financial management skills and proactive stance on education demonstrate her dedication to making a positive contribution to her community and aiding the academic progress of future generations.
Dr. Stafa is an accomplished Senior Data Scientist at The Hershey Company in Greater Philadelphia, renowned for his mathematics and data science expertise. His educational foundation was laid at the University of Rochester, where he earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics (2008-2013). Mentor’s postdoctoral journey included significant contributions at Tulane University, ETH Zurich, and Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, developing a solid research background. Transitioning to academia, he influenced future minds as an Adjunct Professor at Villanova University and a Professor of Practice at Tulane University. Since March 2023, Mentor has been pivotal in harnessing data for informed decision-making at The Hershey Company, blending analytical acumen with a passion for data-driven insights.
Matt Oz, from Drexel Hill, PA, is a skilled Solution Architect and DevOps Engineer with over ten years in IT, specializing in cloud implementations and DevOps practices. His extensive experience includes roles at Vanguard, Infinite Blue, 10Pearls, and more, where he led AI/ML development projects and AWS infrastructure. Matt worked as an IT director for Vision Academy CS as well. Oz holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, an MBA, and AWS certifications in Solutions Architect and developer-associate, showcasing his proficiency in AWS and DevOps. His career is marked by a commitment to innovation and helping organizations leverage technology effectively.
Dr. Adam’s resume encapsulates a profound dedication to pro-choice public education, underscored by his voluntary roles on boards of public charter schools and advisory councils across multiple state charter associations, reflecting his unwavering commitment to educational innovation. His academic achievements include a Doctorate in K–12 Educational Leadership from Widener University, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Penn State University, MBA coursework at the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Development, and a Bachelor’s in Science Education from Bosphorus University. With over 25 years in the education sector, Dr. Adam has significantly impacted the landscape as CEO of high achieving charter schools in PA, a founder of numerous charter schools, an auditor of federal programs in Pennsylvania, an Independent Educational Consultant, Superintendent of a charter school chain, and the initiator of private schools in Kolkata, India. His career is distinguished by a focus on STEM curriculum development, adept management of federal programs, and the successful acquisition of grants to foster educational advancement and growth.
Ahmadou Njimoke Tijani is a distinguished professional residing in Southeast Delco SD, with a rich strategic planning, leadership, and logistics background underpinned by a Master’s Degree in Management from Yaounde II University SOA, Cameroon. His career is marked by a significant role in the US Army National Guard in Philadelphia, PA, since September 2017, where he serves as an Automated Logistical Specialist, skillfully managing inventory and ensuring compliance with rigorous standards. In addition to his military service, Ahmadou contributes to his local community as part of the Vision Academy Charter School in PA, where he oversees financial operations and school safety, demonstrating his commitment to educational excellence and student well-being. Additionally, Ahmadou volunteers at the Folcroft Fire Company, further showcasing his dedication to community service and safety. Ahmadou’s expertise is complemented by his bilingual fluency in French and English, robust technical skills, including MS SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, and recognition through several prestigious military awards. His dual role as a resident of Southeast Delco SD and a member of the army underscores his dedication to service nationally and within his community.
